Uveitis
What is Uveitis?
Uveitis is inflammation in the uvea, which includes the iris, the ciliary body, and the choroid in the eye. It can also affect nearby parts of the eye, like the retina, vitreous, and optic nerve.
Over time, chronic inflammation due to uveitis can cause permanent vision loss, if not controlled. Chronic uveitis is often associated with other ongoing systemic inflammatory conditions.
